| Statewide Funded Childcare | Website focuses on elementary education. |
We're working hard in Michigan to provide funded Preschool for All for four-year-olds through programs like Kent ISD Great Start to Readiness and Head Start. We can expand this work into free universal care for all ages and abilities, so that families can thrive. Lack of access to quality childcare that serves the needs of all children, means a disproportionate number of caregivers are not able to enter the workforce. Our childcare providers deserve fair wages, access to continuing education, and financial support to operate.

"Free Childcare. Raising a family has never been more expensive. Parents need free, high-quality childcare near where they live and work so they don’t have to choose between raising kids and building careers. Pre-K for All and World-Class Education. Every four-year-old should have access to public, high-quality, local pre-K so they arrive at kindergarten ready to learn. Let’s prepare our kids for future success with the best teachers at state-of-the-art schools." |
